Pricing rules

Updated August 24, 2026

Each Fieldspace Event carries its own pricing rules: prices per duration, day-of-week peak pricing with proration for odd durations, and separate member rates. Two Events selling the same court can price completely differently — the price belongs to the product, not the space.

Where do prices live?

On the Event — the item a customer actually books, like "60-Minute Cage Rental" or "Private Hitting Lesson." Every Event has its own pricing rules. The Resource underneath (the cage, court, or coach) carries a default hourly rate, but the customer-facing price always comes from the Event.

This split is deliberate: one court sold three ways — rental, lesson, clinic — is three Events with three different prices on one Resource.

How do prices per duration work?

An Event's pricing rules set a price for each duration you offer. A cage might sell 30 minutes at $45 and 60 minutes at $80 — the hour deliberately cheaper per minute to pull customers into longer bookings.

30 minutes$45
60 minutes$80

Durations you haven't priced explicitly are prorated — Fieldspace derives the price from the rates you did set instead of blocking the booking.

How does peak pricing work?

Pricing rules vary by day of week. The same "Full Turf Rental" Event can charge more on Saturday than on Tuesday, because weekend demand at most facilities is a different market from a weekday afternoon. You define which days are peak and what they cost — per Event, so peak pricing on your turf doesn't force peak pricing on your cages.

How do member rates work?

Member pricing can be set on Resources, Events, and Add-Ons, in three forms:

  • a member rate — a specific price for members
  • a percentage off the public price
  • a fixed discount off the public price

Members get their price automatically at booking — no codes. Membership plans themselves (credits, early access, benefits) are covered on the memberships page below.

Common questions

Can I charge more on weekends than weekdays?

Yes. Fieldspace pricing rules support day-of-week peak pricing, so the same Event can price a Saturday hour differently from a Tuesday hour. You set it per Event, not facility-wide.

How are odd durations priced?

By proration. If an Event prices 60 minutes at $80 and a customer books a duration you haven't priced explicitly, Fieldspace prorates from the rates you did set rather than refusing the booking.

Can members pay a different price than the public?

Yes. Member pricing can be set on Resources, Events, and Add-Ons — as a member rate, a percentage off, or a fixed discount. Members see their price at booking automatically.

Do prices live on the court or on the product?

On the product. Each Resource carries a default hourly rate, but what customers actually pay comes from the Event's pricing rules — which is why a lesson and a rental on the same court can have completely different prices.
