Plans, benefits, and credits
Updated August 24, 2026
A Fieldspace membership plan is a subscription that grants benefits: credit hours or credit sessions, member pricing on Resources, Events, and Add-Ons, and early booking access. Credits can be capped or unlimited, and can roll over between billing periods — each is your choice, per plan.
What does a membership plan grant?
A plan is what a customer subscribes to; benefits are what it grants. Fieldspace plans can grant three kinds of benefit, in any combination:
- Credits — prepaid facility time (credit hours) or a count of bookings (credit sessions)
- Member pricing — a member rate, percentage off, or fixed discount on Resources, Events, and Add-Ons
- Early booking access — members book before the general public
Plans bill on a recurring period — like the $43/month plan below — or run as season passes with an end date.

How do credits work?
Credits are the prepaid portion of a plan. Credit hours draw down by booking length — a member with 4 hours of monthly cage time who books 90 minutes has 2.5 left. Credit sessions draw down one per booking, regardless of length — right for clinics and classes.
Two switches control how credits behave, each set per plan:
- Capped or unlimited — a fixed allowance per period, or unlimited access for open-gym and lap-swim style plans
- Rollover — whether unused credits carry into the next billing period or reset

Common questions
What's the difference between credit hours and credit sessions?
Credit hours grant time — say 4 hours of cage time a month — and draw down by booking length. Credit sessions grant a count of bookings — say 8 clinic sessions — and draw down one per booking. A plan grants whichever fits what you sell.
Do unused credits roll over?
That's your call, per plan. A plan's credits can roll over into the next billing period or reset. Rollover rewards loyal members; resetting protects your capacity from stockpiled credits.
What does early booking access mean?
Members on a plan with early access can book time slots before the general public can. For facilities where prime-time sells out, early access is often the single strongest reason a customer joins.
Can a plan give unlimited access instead of counted credits?
Yes. Plan access can be capped — a set number of credit hours or sessions per period — or unlimited. Unlimited plans suit open-gym and lap-swim models; capped plans suit high-demand spaces where you're rationing prime time.
How do members get their discount at checkout?
Automatically. Member pricing set on Resources, Events, and Add-Ons — as a member rate, a percentage off, or a fixed discount — applies when a signed-in member books. There are no discount codes to distribute.
