A team in Fieldspace is a membership-like group: an entity several people belong to. It is not a Resource, because a team is not a thing a booking occupies — so a team holds the roster while a recurring booking holds its practice slot.
How teams are modeled
A team works like a membership group. The useful comparison is a membership plan: several people belong to it, and belonging is what connects them to what the group includes.
If you already understand how memberships work in Fieldspace, you already understand the shape of a team. The difference is what the group represents — a roster rather than a tier of access.
Why a team is not a Resource
This is the distinction that keeps a facility's schedule sane. Resources are the things a booking occupies and that must never double-book: courts, cages, lanes, coaches. Fieldspace runs conflict checking over Resources.

Put a team in the Resource list and you have told the system that a group of people can be double-booked, which produces conflicts that do not mean anything.
Teams and practice slots
A travel program usually needs two things working together:
- The team — who is on the roster and what belonging to it includes.
- A recurring booking — the Tuesday 6pm slot on Court 2, repeating through the season, which is what actually holds the space.
Keeping these separate is what lets a roster change without touching the calendar, and a practice time move without rebuilding the roster.
Season registration
A season is the period a team runs for. Registration is how families join it — and because a team is a membership-like group, joining a team is the same kind of action as joining a plan.
