Google Calendar sync

Updated August 24, 2026

Fieldspace connects to outside calendars two ways: it syncs bookings out to Google Calendar, and it imports external schedules in by ICS URL. Google Calendar is the only direct sync — Outlook is not currently supported.

How does Google Calendar sync work?

Fieldspace syncs bookings to Google Calendar, so what is booked at your facility shows up on the calendar you already check. This is the outbound direction: Fieldspace is the system of record and Google Calendar reflects it.

It is most useful for coaches and staff who work off their phone calendar rather than opening Fieldspace to see what is next.

How does ICS import work?

Fieldspace imports external schedules from an ICS URL — the standard calendar feed format that most calendar tools can publish. This is the inbound direction: a schedule maintained somewhere else becomes visible in Fieldspace.

The common case is a league, school, or club that publishes its season schedule elsewhere and needs it visible against your courts so your own bookings do not collide with it.

What is not supported?

Google Calendar only

Google Calendar is the only calendar Fieldspace syncs with directly. Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Apple Calendar do not have a direct sync. If your schedule lives in one of those, publishing it as an ICS feed and importing that URL is the available path.

Common questions

Does Fieldspace sync with Google Calendar?

Yes. Fieldspace syncs bookings to Google Calendar so your facility schedule appears alongside everything else on your calendar.

Does Fieldspace sync with Outlook?

No. Google Calendar is the only calendar Fieldspace syncs with directly. Outlook is not currently supported.

Can I bring an outside schedule into Fieldspace?

Yes, by ICS URL. Fieldspace imports external schedules from an ICS feed, which is how a league or school calendar published elsewhere can show up against your Resources.

What is an ICS URL?

ICS is the standard calendar feed format. Most calendar tools can publish a schedule as an ICS link, and Fieldspace reads that link to import the schedule.
