Swimming & Pool Scheduling

Updated February 2026

Manage pool lanes, swim lessons, lap swim sessions, and competitive swim team practices.

Overview

Fieldspace helps aquatic facilities maximize pool usage across lessons, lap swim, recreational swim, and competitive team practices. Manage lanes individually or as groups.

Pool Setup

Set up your pool by going to Facilities → Add Facility and selecting"Swimming Pool". Enter the pool name, location, number of lanes, and overall dimensions. You can also add features like diving boards, water slides, and hot tubs so that your facility listing gives members a complete picture of what's available.

Lane Booking

Fieldspace provides granular control over lane reservations. Book individual lanes or group multiple lanes together for team practices and events. Each lane can have its own pricing, and a visual lane availability calendar makes it easy for staff and members to see what's open at a glance. You can also block specific lanes for maintenance without disrupting the rest of the pool schedule.

Swim Lessons

Set up swim instruction programs with multiple lesson levels from beginner to advanced. Fieldspace lets you define class sizes and instructor-to-student ratios for each level, and members can register for sessions online. Student progression is tracked through levels automatically, and makeup lessons can be scheduled for anyone who misses a class without disrupting the rest of the group.

Lap Swim

Designate specific hours for lap swimming and set limits on the number of swimmers per lane to keep things comfortable. Members can reserve lanes in advance during popular time slots, and you can enforce time limits during busy periods to ensure fair access. Usage pattern tracking helps you identify peak demand so you can optimize your lap swim schedule over time.

Swim Teams

Fieldspace supports competitive swim programs with dedicated lane reservations for team practices. Schedule home meets with visiting teams, or block the entire pool for large competitions. The platform coordinates team activities with recreational and lesson schedules to prevent conflicts, and you can designate specific lanes for warm-up and cool-down during meet days.
