Soccer Scheduling
Updated February 2026
Configure soccer fields, manage leagues across age groups, and handle weather-related scheduling.
Overview
Fieldspace supports soccer programs of all sizes, from youth recreational leagues to competitive travel teams. Manage multiple field sizes and handle the unique challenges of outdoor scheduling.
Field Setup
Add your soccer fields by navigating to Facilities → Add Facility and selecting"Soccer Field". Enter the field name, location, and dimensions, then indicate whether the field has lights, goals, and other equipment. This information helps Fieldspace determine appropriate booking options and lets players know what to expect at each location.
Field Sizes
Fieldspace supports all standard field configurations across age groups. Small-sided 4v4 fields are available for U6-U8 players, 7v7 intermediate fields for U9-U10, 9v9 fields for U11-U12, and full-size 11v11 fields for U13 and older. You can also configure how larger fields are subdivided for younger age groups, allowing you to run multiple small-sided games on a single full-size field simultaneously.
League Scheduling
Create and manage fall and spring seasons with balanced schedules that alternate home and away games fairly. Fieldspace can factor in school event calendars to avoid conflicts, and lets you assign referees to games based on their certification level. Tournament weekends are handled as special scheduling blocks that can override regular season play.
Practice Management
Allocate practice slots by team and age group, with the flexibility to share fields between multiple teams when space is limited. Recurring weekly schedules keep things consistent for coaches and families, and coaches can submit time change requests directly through the platform when conflicts arise.
Weather & Field Conditions
Outdoor soccer scheduling comes with unique weather challenges, and Fieldspace is built to handle them. Mark fields as closed due to poor conditions with a single click, and automatic notifications are sent to all affected teams and referees. The platform tracks field rest periods after heavy use to protect your turf, integrates with weather services to provide proactive alerts, and maintains a rainout rescheduling queue so postponed games are easy to reschedule.
