Soccer Scheduling

Overview

Fieldspace supports soccer programs of all sizes, from youth recreational leagues to competitive travel teams. Manage multiple field sizes and handle the unique challenges of outdoor scheduling.

Field Setup

Configure your soccer fields:

1. Go to Facilities → Add Facility
2. Select "Soccer Field" as the type
3. Enter field name and location
4. Specify field dimensions
5. Mark if field has lights, goals, and other equipment

Field Sizes

Fieldspace supports standard field configurations:

• U6-U8 - Small-sided 4v4 fields
• U9-U10 - 7v7 intermediate fields
• U11-U12 - 9v9 fields
• U13+ - Full-size 11v11 fields
• Configure how large fields can be subdivided for younger age groups

League Scheduling

Manage soccer leagues:

• Create fall and spring seasons
• Balance home and away games
• Avoid scheduling conflicts with school events
• Assign referees by certification level
• Handle tournament weekends

Practice Management

Coordinate team practices:

• Allocate practice slots by team and age group
• Share fields between multiple teams
• Set up recurring weekly schedules
• Allow coaches to request time changes

Weather & Field Conditions

Handle weather-related issues:

• Mark fields as closed due to conditions
• Send automatic notifications to affected teams
• Track field rest periods after heavy use
