Baseball Scheduling

Updated February 2026

Configure baseball and softball fields, manage league schedules, and coordinate practice times.

Overview

Fieldspace provides specialized tools for managing baseball and softball facilities. From diamond configuration to league scheduling, handle all aspects of your baseball program efficiently.

Field Setup

Add your baseball or softball fields by going to Facilities → Add Facility and selecting"Baseball/Softball Field". Enter the field name, location details, and dimensions -- Fieldspace supports Little League, High School, and Regulation configurations. You can also list amenities like dugouts, batting cages, and bullpens so coaches know exactly what each field offers.

Diamond Configuration

Each diamond can be customized with specific measurements for your program. Set base path lengths (60ft, 70ft, or 90ft), pitching mound distance, and outfield fence distances. You can also specify the surface type (grass, turf, or dirt infield) and whether the field has lights for night games. These configuration presets make it easy to switch between different league requirements on the same field.

League Scheduling

Build full season schedules with automatic conflict detection so no two games are booked on the same field at the same time. Fieldspace supports round-robin and bracket tournament formats, and lets you assign umpires and scorekeepers to individual games. When weather disrupts your schedule, the platform suggests rescheduling options based on field availability. Standings and playoff seeding update automatically as scores are entered.

Practice Slots

Coordinate team practices by setting up recurring time slots for each team throughout the season. Coaches can request to swap practice slots with other teams through the platform, and batting cage time can be reserved separately from field time. You can also block out field maintenance windows to keep your diamonds in top condition without disrupting the schedule.

Equipment Management

Fieldspace helps you keep track of all the equipment associated with your baseball program. Catalog items like bases, pitching rubbers, batting cage machines, field maintenance equipment, scoreboard controls, and first aid supplies. Assign equipment to specific fields or storage locations so your staff always knows where to find what they need.
