Security

Updated February 2026

Configure two-factor authentication, password policies, and other security settings.

Overview

Protect your Fieldspace account and customer data with robust security settings. We recommend enabling all available security features.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication adds a critical layer of protection to your admin accounts. When enabled, users must verify their identity with a second factor after entering their password:

  • Require 2FA for all admin users
  • Support for authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  • SMS backup codes available
  • Recovery codes for account access

Enable 2FA in Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.

Password Policy

Define the password requirements for all users on your account. Strong policies help prevent unauthorized access:

  • Minimum password length
  • Require uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Require numbers and special characters
  • Password expiration (optional)
  • Prevent password reuse

Session Management

Monitor and manage all active sessions across your organization. This is particularly useful if you suspect unauthorized access or need to enforce immediate logouts:

  • View all active sessions and devices
  • Revoke sessions remotely
  • Set session timeout duration
  • Automatic logout after inactivity

Audit Log

The audit log provides a complete record of all account activity, giving you full visibility into who did what and when:

  • Login attempts (successful and failed)
  • Setting changes
  • User permission changes
  • Data exports
  • Filter by user, action, or date
